Let's go to bed. No, I am saying that after minus quite a few hours of sleep... I'm going to a COCA party, the Black and Raw - an event for metalsmiths, hosted by the amazingly talented Kevin Kent and Dj'd by ms Kick. Looking forward to it - even though right now my body has an inertia to not do anything... Coca parties marked my entrance into Seattle. I remember the first month I was here attending their Slovenia SPK party in an emptied out mansion. A full piece swing band played in the front yard while the house was decorated in fascist kitsch. It was creepy, yet intriguingly fun... I think I might even have the faux passport they issued to me as a Slovenian national. Later Coca parties weren't as lavish, but still were pretty riotious (and if they were truly terrible, you just got smashed at the cash bar and made your own fun)... This event is way out in Marginal Way (yes, probably the big boots territory).

I'm burning the candle in the middle today. It snowed last night - very insane for Seattle in March, but well - maybe not. The night was very still and picaresque: cars stalled by the side of the road, an image of a woman walking up the Beacon hill bridge wearing a plastic bag on her head and talking into her cellphone, 2 guys walking behind a spinning out SUV screaming at the driver at how to get out... I love Seattle in the snow. Fortunately - I did get to have my moment -- going to and from the gym, seemed like one of those moody Nike ads (you know - the "army of one" theme, lone runner jogging in the worse conditions)... It was pretty though.
In any case - I'm short 12 hours of needed sleep, but before I l log off, I have to leave you with some
Hot Gay Penguin Action! Yow! Biodiversity rules...

Oh. My. Head. My remaining bag of Roma-Roast has been depleted, taken or just plain buried in the mess that is the third floor fridge, and that means I'll have to make do with the company sludge or the weak-ass green tea that's sitting in front of me presently. I am glazing over... and contemplate the blank spot that is supposed to be my active brain.
I've been listening to the radio. Death Cab did a swimming, haunting remake of Bjork's All is Full of Love - sounding very Joy Divisionish. I think I'll have to purchase it. Oh, speaking of purchases... My DVD player finally showed up. I think this ushers in a whole new era of entertainment (or sloth -- but since the closest Vid store is way the hell up on 15th, I'll get my #$%ing excercise allright). I've "Fallen Angels" arriving any day now.

Oh - if only we had a Frozen Dead Guy Day Festival... the fact this is happening in Colorado puts this in South Park territory...

I just can't pictureKeanu as Billy Jack. But, Hollywood is running out of stories apparently.

Huh - so it looks as though MTV's Celebrity Death Match becomes vaguely prophetic... Looks like we'll soon be enjoying the clash of the tabloid personalities and former child stars for a start. Will they upgrade to annoying box-office draws and cult celebrities next?
